Chin-Myanmar Community Care (CMCC) is committed to a comprehensive, long-term sustainable development plan, benefiting Chin internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees in Myanmar and India. Our Sustainable Development Program (SDP) adopts a holistic approach, empowering communities to manage resources effectively, enhance quality of life, and safeguard the environment for future generations.
CMCC’s SDPs prioritize long-term sustainability, social equity, and economic viability.
The program’s seven key components work synergistically to achieve lasting impact:
1) Community Engagement: Fostering active participation and involvement of community members in decision-making processes, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
2) Needs Assessment: Conducting thorough assessments to identify community needs, priorities, and resources, informing targeted interventions.
3) Capacity Building: Enhancing community skills, knowledge, and institutions to manage resources sustainably, promoting self-sufficiency.
4) Economic Empowerment: Supporting local economic development, entrepreneurship, and job creation, reducing poverty and inequality.
5) Environmental Conservation: Protecting and preserving natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystem services, ensuring a healthy environment for future generations.
6) Social Equity: Promoting inclusivity, justice, and equal access to resources and opportunities, addressing disparities and marginalization.
7) Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assessing program progress, impact, and sustainability, informing adjustments and improvements to optimize outcomes.
By integrating these components, CMCC’s Sustainable Development Program fosters resilient, thriving communities, empowering Chin IDPs and refugees to build a brighter future.
